What is happening
Truckee is celebrating its third annual Bike Month in June, with the Town of Truckee highlighting bicycling as a practical way to support health, reduce short car trips, and connect residents with trails and town centers.
The month includes a Bike Month Bingo Challenge, Bike to School Day, a Truckee Day bike path cleanup, a Bike Kitchen maintenance clinic and helmet decorating event, and Bike Everywhere Day refuel stations.
Dates to know
Key 2026 dates include Bike to School Day on June 5, the Truckee Day bike path cleanup on June 6, the Bike Kitchen clinic at Truckee Library on June 11, and Bike Everywhere Day on June 17.
For Bike Everywhere Day, the Town lists refuel stations at Eagle Plaza from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm and Bike Truckee near Regional Park from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
Trail safety note
The Town reminds riders that the speed limit for all devices, including e-bikes, is 15 MPH on Truckee paved trails. Riders should also watch for crossings, changing trail conditions, other users, and basic trail etiquette.
Before joining an event, confirm current details with Keep Truckee Green or the Town of Truckee, especially if weather, closures, or trail work could affect the plan.
